Here comes the new XHW primary shredder: improved performance and reduced consumption

A major innovation arrives in the FOR REC machine portfolio.
We are proud to announce the latest line of XHW primary shredders: the evolution of the renowned XH single-shaft shredder.

This new model represents a qualitative step forward in the world of recycling lines, combining power, efficiency and advanced technology to handle even the most complex and bulky waste, guaranteeing exceptional performance and operational sustainability.

The role of primary shredders in industrial waste recycling

Primary shredders play a key role in the recycling process, transforming heterogeneous and bulky materials into manageable fragments that can be further processed. The efficiency of this step determines the effectiveness of the entire recycling process, reducing costs and environmental impact.

The XHW primary grinder, with its state-of-the-art features, is the ideal solution to optimise this process, offering superior volumetric reduction and optimal preparation of materials for subsequent recycling steps.

New features of the XHW shredder compared to previous models

The XHW shredder can be considered as the evolution of the XH model, from which it differs in the following respects:

  • Enlarged cutting chamber: with a volume of 7.8 m³, the new XHW model can handle very bulky and large materials;
  • Improved material flow: the wide dedicated space facilitates the processing of expandable materials post-treatment, ensuring optimal flow;
  • Improved machine access: semi-automatic tailgate opening and easy-closing front inspection doors improve maintenance and daily operation;
  • Rotor innovations: thanks to 69 concave plates mounted on interchangeable supports, material cuts become sharper. The rotor has also been coated with wear-resistant material to maintain high performance and reduce maintenance and downtime.

In addition, the type of grid can be changed depending on the output to be obtained.
The six grinder grids, in fact, can have the following configuration:

  • Comb sieve: ideal for higher productivity, with medium-sized and not extremely precise sizes
  • Round hole: for lower productivity, but with more precise chunking.
