Disc screens consist of a series of steel shafts, on which polygonal disks of different diameters and widths are shrouded, depending on the material to be sieved, size and required throughput.
The material to be sieved is advanced by the rotation of the polygonal disks, which also exert a strong shaking of the material itself, to promote perfect screening.
The gap between the discs determines the size of the screening. Further refinement of this size is achieved by varying the speed of the shafts, obtained by inverter control installed in the control panel.
CAD technology ensures perfect screening thanks to the metal cones installed on the shafts, which deflect the long pieces to the part shaved by the next disc, preventing them from falling into the screened fraction (under screen).
The CAD system is made of thick steel components that are rigidly fixed on the disc-holder shaft. This solution, which does not require the installation of any moving parts, does not require maintenance and has great resistance against wear caused by waste.
Thorough cleaning, required under special conditions can be done quickly using thermal systems, such as flames or high-temperature steam cleaners, to burn and remove any residue without danger of damaging any part of the machine. Available in different lengths and diameters.
