Automation to valorize all components

WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment) recycling involves a production cycle able to process any type of disposed electrical and electronic equipment.

The treatment combines manual labor with automatic systems for maximum valorization of all components, with waste reduction and “zero” environmental impact.

WEEE is treated through a process using low-speed machines supported by soundproof panels and a suction system to comply with current regulations in terms of sound levels and dust emissions.

Phases of the production cycle for WEEE treatment

  • Initial phase of manual sorting to control the incoming flow
  • Opening of the equipment without altering the components to be recovered through the use of two shredders with special blades
  • Separation of coarse-sized components and selection of the larger parts: electrical cables, hard disks, electronic boards and the smaller components: motors, batteries, condensers
  • Fully automatic final stage, homogeneous 30mm piece size of material not previously selected
  • Separation of material into 3 main fractions: ferrous, nonferrous and plastics
