2025 at FOR REC? A year of challenges, innovation and human value

If we had to choose one word to describe our 2025, it would be “CONCRETENESS.”
As the calendar races toward the end of December, it’s natural to pause and look back, not only to celebrate the milestones achieved, but also to analyze the journey taken. 2025 was not just another year of business; it was a turning point, when our vision of the circular economy was transformed into increasingly high-performance machinery, solutions to complex problems, and above all, strong human relationships.

In a global market that demands ever-higher environmental standards and increasingly pure recovery of raw materials, FOR REC responded with targeted investments in Research and Development. From managing complex WEEE to new frontiers in solar energy, and even opening the doors of our company: let’s retrace together the key milestones of this extraordinary year.

The future of energy: the bet on photovoltaic panels

One of the central themes of 2025 was undoubtedly the energy transition. The world is moving rapidly toward renewables, but this brings with it a major responsibility: managing the end of life of green technologies. The exponential growth of solar installations over recent decades is leading us toward a wave of decommissioning that the market must be ready to handle.

For this very reason, this year our R&D team focused on designing new solutions for the efficient recycling of photovoltaic panels.

It’s not just about shredding, it’s about adding value.

A solar panel is a mine of valuable materials: glass, aluminum, plastics, silicon, copper and silver. The technological challenge we faced and overcame was the ability to separate these materials cleanly, ensuring recovery rates that approach the total weight of the panel. Our new lines are designed to meet this growing demand, transforming what could be a bulky and complex waste into a strategic resource for the manufacturing industry.

The boiler challenge and the DECONS SAS project

Innovation at FOR REC always stems from a concrete customer need. In 2025, we completed a project we are particularly proud of in the boiler treatment sector, culminating in the creation of an ultra-efficient plant for Decons Sas.

Boilers represent one of the toughest challenges in metal recycling. Their structure, made up of steel, expanded polyurethane and plastics, makes material separation especially difficult for standard machinery. Often, the risk is contaminating steel with foam residues or, conversely, losing valuable metal. Thanks to a custom engineering approach, we provided Decons Sas with a system capable of freeing ferrous fractions from impurities with surgical precision. This result not only optimized our customer’s profitability, but once again demonstrated how FOR REC’s engineering flexibility can solve problems that once seemed insurmountable. It is proof that there are no “impossible wastes,” only technologies that have yet to be perfected.

Doors open to innovation: the new in-house plant

2025 was also the year we made it even easier to confirm the power of our solutions. One of the most appreciated company developments was the installation, directly at our headquarters in Padua, of a complete system for processing electric cables.

We wanted to create a true “showcase machine,” available for new customers to see firsthand. This allows visitors to watch our solutions in action, hear the sound of cutting, observe the copper granule size at the output and physically experience the quality of the process. This choice turned a company visit into a hands-on experience. Allowing visitors to test the technology personally was a declaration of transparency and confidence in our capabilities: we have nothing to hide, and the results speak for themselves.

Cutting-edge technology: the launch of the X3000TW Grinder

Speaking of machinery, we can’t forget the undisputed star of our 2025 catalog: the launch of the innovative X3000TW single-shaft grinder.

Its main innovation lies in the use of Torque motor technology, which allows it to operate smoothly even in extreme temperature environments, while ensuring lower energy consumption and reduced routine maintenance. The X3000TW is not “just” a more powerful machine; it’s a smarter one. It is designed to guarantee operational continuity, reduce downtime and maximize hourly output. Market response has been enthusiastic, confirming that the direction toward Heavy Duty machinery is the right one.

Around the world: trade shows, networking and human value

Finally, 2025 was a year of travel, handshakes, and networking. Technology is the heart of our business, but people are its soul. Throughout the year, the FOR REC team attended the most important global trade shows. From the United States, with Aluminium USA and E-Scrap, to the return to Italy for the grand finale at ECOMONDO.

For us, these events are not only an opportunity to showcase our innovations, but above all places where ideas and new relationships are born. We spoke with long-standing partners, met emerging companies, and listened to the needs of operators from every continent.

Each trade show left us with the awareness that FOR REC is not just a supplier, but a strategic partner within a global network of professionals working toward a cleaner future.

We close this 2025 with the satisfaction of those who have worked hard and the curiosity of those already looking ahead.
