In March 20-22 FOR REC attended the Eweees-MIR fair/conference that took place in Moscow in the Royal Radisson Hotel. The congress that defined as a key-platform for opportunities, solutions and challenges in the EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union) maintains and develops important economic contacts with authorities, producers, recyclers, associations and the media.
In fact, several representatives of the political and governmental class were present: the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology, the Ministry of Finance, the Department of the Moscow Mayor for the Environment, the Embassy of Switzerland in the Russian Federation, UNIDO Russia, the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.
The congress has assumed great importance because the Russian Federation has initiated a fundamental task for producers and importers of electrical and electronic waste (WEEE), as these actors have responsibilities defined by law that directly include them into the circular economy line, technical standards and directives, putting into action also associations, companies engaged in waste collection and recyclers.
The EAEU is the new and fast-growing recycling market that generates about 1,500,000 tons of E-scraps per year with a value of over 400 million euros a year, which is why FOR REC has chosen this event to present its products applied to the recycling of electrical and electronic waste and metal scraps.
The congress, interesting opportunity for FOR REC, showed that the Country is ready to face the sector with determination and knowledge, the attendants target proved to be competent and the experts particularly appreciated that the protection of the environment leads to great economic as well as ethical opportunities.
Nicholas Zitella, FOR REC Sales Executive, participated as a speaker at the congress, gaining interest and good contacts, demonstrating that the Russian market and industry experts are attentive and ready for new challenges.
